I was asked to build a cabinet that would hold all of the altar cloths for our church. This is day one. Plans are attached to this page for anyone who would like to review them. I start with sorting through the pile of select white oak and planning which boards will best serve for each part of the assembly. Next, I move onto planing the boards to the thickness that I will be using first. I am limited on the number of clamps and bench space so I start with the sides and the shelves which are the largest. Then I start glueing up the large boards so they can be drying while I continue to plane down the next batch. I let each panel dry for an hour before removing the clamps then repeating the process with the next set of panels.
Hey, this is cool. I love the picture of the guy with running the planer!
