The little people
Seems fitting that I get my new saw completely set up and my first project, using it, is on the lathe. I made two cuts on the new saw, cutting the wood square to put it on the lathe. Oh well, at least it worked well.
My wife asked me to make some people for her to paint and give as gifts. She gave me a little one that she wanted them modeled after. They did not need to be identical, so I made each one slightly different. There were four made in fir, but the fourth split and was unusable. Since that was all of my scrap fir, I grabbed a chunk of walnut from my scrap pile.
