I haven’t had many shop projects lately that were worth posting about, but that may change shortly. I have a few projects in the pipeline that need to be designed, then I can get rolling again. I may have to take some time to clean up the shop first…
I had a long day Saturday. I took my wife and youngest son Adam to the Maker Fair in New York. Five hour drive up, eight hours of walking, then the five-hour drive home. Long Day!
Adam had a blast, and I think his Christmas list has just grown…
Nothing like a Lamb Gyro for breakfast. Surprisingly, no line at 10:00 Am…
Nobody would play drums with this guy, so he built his own robotic drum set. He didn’t sound too bed until he started singing.
Homemade octo-copter drone. I want one…
Adam got to meet R2D2, but that other kid kept running in front of me and I couldn’t get a good picture.
You could remote drive a Mars rover.
Adam found the biggest 3D printer that I have ever seen.
Lots of homemade quad-coptors.
Hover craft made from half a shop-vac, a piece of ply-wood, and lots of duct tape.
Human scale giant Mouse Trap game.
Belt sander and other power tool racing.
A hydro-ponics home kit.
The Lego booth.
It is not the uniform that makes these police men look cool, it is the Segway on steroids.
Not a lot of woodworking going on, but we had fun exploring. I might have to start working some electronics into some of my projects…
